The Amazon Firestick is by far the most popular device for IPTV — it is cheap, fast, and plugs into any TV with an HDMI port. In this guide you will install a professional IPTV player on your Firestick and start streaming in about 5 minutes, even if you have never done this before.
What you need before starting
- An Amazon Firestick (any model: Lite, 4K, 4K Max) connected to the internet
- An active IPTV subscription — if you do not have one yet, check our plans starting at €14.99
- Your login details (sent by email right after your order)
Step 1 — Allow apps from unknown sources
The best IPTV players are not always on the Amazon Appstore, so we first allow the Firestick to install apps from outside the store:
- From the home screen, go to Settings > My Fire TV (or Device)
- Open Developer Options
- Turn ON “Apps from Unknown Sources” / “Install unknown apps”
Note: if you don’t see Developer Options, go to Settings > My Fire TV > About, and click 7 times on the Fire TV Stick name to unlock it.
Step 2 — Install the Downloader app
Downloader is a free official app on the Amazon Appstore that lets you install other apps:
- From the home screen, search for “Downloader” (orange icon)
- Install and open it
- Allow the permissions it asks for
Step 3 — Install an IPTV player
The two most popular players are IPTV Smarters Pro and TiviMate. Both are excellent — Smarters is simpler for beginners, TiviMate has the best TV-guide layout. Open the Downloader app and enter the download URL of the player you prefer (our support sends you the current official link with your order, so you always get the latest safe version). Click Go, wait for the download, then click Install.
Step 4 — Log in with your details
- Open the player app
- Choose “Login with Xtream Codes API” (Smarters) or “Add playlist” (TiviMate)
- Enter the username, password and server URL we sent you by email
- Wait 1-2 minutes while the channels, movies and TV guide load
That’s it — you now have 50,000+ channels and 270,000+ movies and series on your Firestick. Browse the full channel list here.
Pro tips for the best experience
- Use Ethernet if possible — an OTG/Ethernet adapter for Firestick costs a few euros and removes most buffering issues
- Close background apps — press and hold the Home button > Apps, and close what you don’t use
- Restart the Firestick weekly — it clears the memory and keeps streams smooth
- Check your internet speed — for 4K streams you want 25 Mbps or more. Full details in our internet speed guide
